BJUSY had an awesome program tonight!
We started off at 7pm with a great dinner as always! We had burgers and kosher dogs cooked to perfection! As a reminder Usyers should not eat before they come! Right before minyan we had gotten into groups for the program so that we could start right away.
We then headed off to a short Minyan. When we got back from minyan we got into our groups and we were able to start making our matzah Balls right away. You had to give SATO to be able to get certain ingredients. These ingredients were not just ordinary they were crazy ingredients such as Olives and Hot Dogs. When we were done mixing the Ingredients we played the fruit game while waiting for the mixes to chill.
After 10 min we went back into our groups shortly to roll out our Matzah Balls. After rolling them out we headed back into a circle to play Laptag.
After Laptag we had a taste test for our Matzah Balls with two judges who picked a winner. The matzah balls were interesting tasting to say the least.

BJUSY would like to wish everyone a L'shana Tova as we head in to a new year. BJUSY Youth High Holiday Services will be held Monday September 17Th at 10:30 am at Buffalo Grove High School. You do not need a ticket to get into the Youth Service. Please enjoy the video below.
Tonight, BJUSY started off the program with with a pasta dinner. After a little bit of socializing and Birkhat, we continued the night moving onto Minyan. Emotions high after the service, we shuffled into the social hall for the kick off to the program; Adam and Joel's event.
The first game was a mock of 'apple bobbing'. Teams had to fit as many grapes as they could from a plate into their mouth and brought them back to a bag. So on and so forth. The first team to finish all of the grapes off the table and mash them up into a cup won.
After that, we continued onto a game almost like holding an egg on a spoon; except you held an orange under your chin and ran a lap to pass it onto your teammate. The first team to finish mashing the orange after relaying it to their team wins again.
We are finishing up the night with a mystery juice guessing game!

On Tuesday night, BJUSY went Sukkah hopping. Literally meaning starting at Beth Judea's sukkah, we took a bus to three other locations for different courses of dinner and games! We started off at the synagogue for the Motzi and Kiddish led by Adam. Shortly after, we boarded a bus to go to the Ehrmann's house for appetizers (which were gone in minutes). After a few exciting games of ninja outside, we took a group photo with the host and hostess and we got back on the bus to go to the Sender's house.
At the Sender sukkah, we had our main course! Three different types of pasta, muffins, vegetables, soft drinks and hot apple cider. While everyne was chowing down, we listened to a story read by Adam and Rachel. On semi full stomachs, we took a group photo and headed out.
Lastly, we headed to the Benders house for a surprise dessert.. a chocolate foutain! There were fruits, shortbread, marshmellows and pretzels to dip in the chocolate. We all got the pleasure to meet their new puppy also. After one final picture, we headed back to CBJ.
We arrived at Beth Judea promptly at 10:15. Don't worry, curfew letters were signed and handed out by Marc to all legible drivers. Todah rabah (Thank you) to all the hosts for a lovely evening!
Please join us next week for "Sex in the Text" with special guest Rabbi Pivo!

Last night, BJUSY went to Pump It Up in Vernon Hills! Once a month, out chapter goes on out of synagogue trips. They're always looked forward to! The bus got to CBJ at 7:15 pm, and we were out of the parking lot within minutes, the bus being full of energy. We arrived at Pump It Up and gathered in the lobby to watch an instructional video. We started off the night in Arena A, the room with an obstacle course, climbing wall, a two part slide, and the basketball court. Cara had previously made a bracket for the competiton and that went off without a hitch. After half of our Arena A time passed, we switched and went into Arena B! This one had a boxing ring, shooting range, and two seperate slide set ups. Everyone was having tons of fun taking full advantage of our time.
After everyone was getting tired, BJUSY went into the party room for some food. Wapaghettis provided pizza, and the soft drinks were gone in minutes. At the end, each member was given ice cream, a cool way to end the night. The bus left the venue when everyone finished, and got back to Beth Judea safely at the set time.
Next weeks program is Sukkah Hop! We are back to normal programming.
